As I expected, today's pop quiz was pretty easy for most of you. You know your pop culture because you are surrounded by it every moment of your life. It should come as no surprise that this mentality developed in the 1920's! If you missed class today, you missed watching Charlie Chaplin's classic, "The Kid," a true to form silent comedy. Have a great weekend!
Homework:
Reading Guide 17 - 4
Start on step 4 of your research paper!!! I was shocked at how many folks did not turn in step 3. YOU DO NOT WANT TO GET BEHIND ON THIS!!! Annotated bibliography is due on Thursday. Please come see me if you are confused, need help or are struggling with your topic.
Extra Credit:
I have offered you extra credit to watch a number of films. If you choose to do so, please do the following to get the points:
-Typed, one-page, double spaced, 12 point font paper telling me how the film specifically exhibits characteristics of the time period that we discussed in class. For example, if you watch "The Great Gatsby" you would write one page on how the pop culture, trends and ideologies of this decade are shown in the film giving examples.
