Imagine you have been selected to be one of the first 100 people to live in an experimental colony on the planet Mars. There is no promise of your success or survival. Would you still go? Why (not)? This scenario is very similar to how early explorers and colonists would have felt about coming to the New World. Today we discussed the very first successful English colony, Jamestown. The notes from class are attached below. Make sure you make a copy to turn in for credit in a few weeks!
