Mark Twain labeled this era, "The Gilded Age" meaning from the outside the nation gleamed and glittered with the wealth of the rich industrialists. However, looking closer one would see the financial success of the nation was at the cost of thousands of destitute, over-worked employees. Today we learned about these workers and their story.
