After the gruesome realities of war, the younger generation of the 1920's wanted to break away from traditional values and the rosy ideals that were expected of them. The result was a new type of woman - the flapper. Today we discussed this idea of a "generation gap," if it exists today, and why it existed in the 1920's. To finish the day, we learned the Charleston!
